Athletes 4 Awareness & Right Touch Basketball in conjunction with San Lucy will be conducting an American Indian Hoops 4 Awareness, December 4th 2009 in Gila Bend AZ.

11am-1pm - Presentation for Cancer Awarenessfrom community Members and Athletes 4 Awareness.
Noon- 1pm - Lunch

On October 2nd 2009, Athletes 4 Awareness, WV Magazine, Sarah Lee Foods and Antoinette Fisher of Dynasty Inkorporated teamed together to feed between 500 and 700 homeless in Downtown Phoenix Saturday. Athletes 4 Awareness is committed to making a difference in all communities. |

Event Overview
1. Viewing of a DVD that was produced by participating organizations and sponsors.
2. Motivational speakers (Sam Stith & Kwame Hymes)
(Speakers present the material with a focus on awareness and how much our youth depend on their families for support and the fostering of hopes and dreams. Without being tested and screened, we are affecting the future of our children and grandchildren.)3. Follow up with youth basketball clinic. Focusing on fundamentals, sportsmanship and next level Basketball. (Bernard Thompson; former NBA, Sam Stith; Former New York Knick and Kwame' Hymes; Right Touch Basketball)
Goals for HOOPS
- Participating organizations and sponsors set up with informational booths presenting hands-on, visual examples of the material. (models or pictures)
- Provides a safe, healthy location within the general area for testing and screening.
- Food, Music (tribal if possible)
